BREATHING — Oxygen
Breathing brings Oxygen to every cell of the body and to get rid of carbon dioxide from the cells. Oxygen is brought into the lungs via breathing, where it is transported by Haemoglobin (red blood cells) to the entire 100 Trillion body cells (Mitochondria).
Oxygen and Metabolic end products of Protein,Carbohydrate and Fat combine to produce ATP – stored Energy through a process known as Krebs cycle .
When the body requires energy to carry out an activity, ATP stored in Cells releases a high amount of energy known as ADP.
The above continuous ENERGY (ATP) production happen all thru 24 hrs and 365 days OXYGEN is very much required for this process.
Common respiratory conditions causing breathing problems are:
- Allergic reactions such as Asthma often caused by certain chemicals or pollution affects the bronchioles, which become inflamed and disturbs normal breathing.
- smoking causes Lung disturbances and affects breathing,
- A bacterial infection known as pneumonia causes swelling of lungs;
- Viral infections such as FLU, CORONA etc.
Rapid deterioration happen and must be assessed immediately., In an acute situation,clear the airways and administer OXYGEN .. About 90 seconds worth of ATP stored in our bodies,.
ATP is released is stored in Cells . When we need energy to carry out an activity, ATP releases a high amount of energy.known as ADP.
The above continuous ENERGY (ATP) production happens all thru 24 hrs and 365 days OXYGEN is very much required for this process.
